^Vienna State Opera shot I took from the Albertina’s mezzanine.
What charm do Opera houses have at night that enchants a photobuff? Just look at this photo and don’t tell me you don’t find them breathtaking. Above is Vienna’s State Opera House (Wiener Staatsoper) glowing in gold at about 11 PM, took that shot when daughter and I were museum hopping during the Long Nights at the Museum. I was at the mezzanine of another museum and it was the perfect place to be to take this shot.
Find flightsBelow is the ever famous Sydney Opera House, a multi-venue performing arts centre in New South Wales, Australia. The Sydney Opera House is one of the many UNESCO Heritage sites I would love to see as well. It’s of course not just to photograph it but watch a world-class performance with the kids.
Since Sydney has an awful lot of entertainment parks, the kids would also enjoy it there: visit Luna Park, to enjoy 17 fantastic rides to choose from. Visit Taronga Zoom see the Chimpanzee Exhibit and Gorilla Forest and get up close and personal with the cuddly Australian Animals especially the koalas. Get the chance to discover natural history at the Australian Museum, see the More than Dinosaurs’ exhibit and let the kids dress up in an Insect Costume! There surely is non-stop fun for the kids and the kids at heart.

While there, we’d also take the chance to grab one of those cheap flights to Perth and enjoy hiking at John Forrest National Park, one of Australia’s oldest conservation areas and Western Australia’s first national park…it would be perfect to go mountain biking in this area of scenic drives and enjoy the rock pools visited by many which is very ideal for swimming.
Then there’s Cottesloe beach famous for its golden and dramatic sunsets. Have a yummy seafood dinner by the beach as you do so. And though Perth does not have Sydney’s famouse Opera house to boast, the skyline is as pretty at night as it is in Sydney, perfect for night photography.
