Remember this photo from last year? This is a restaurant in Tagaytay that we visited, not actually to eat but have a photoshoot of my brother and sis-in-law set to marry in a month then. Tagaytay, located partly in Cavite and partly in Batangas has truly evolved from a meek and wonderful town to a modernized and business-thriving city.
Aside from the restaurants and tourist spots that I featured before, there are also lands developed both for commercial and real estate living. The Tagaytay landscape has definitely changed.
By the restaurant’s terrace, great view, fresh air and amenities that are easily accesible.
There are also companies that have long set interest in the mining industry and gold exploration around Tagaytay and other Batangas areas. One is a mining company in Canada focused on developing the Taysan Copper-Gold Porphyry Project.
Taysan is a small 2nd class municipality in Batangas and just like many towns’ untapped resources in the Philippines, the Vancouver based mineral exploration company saw its potential in importing copper and gold in the international market.
The Taysan Project has a long history undergoing various joint ventures and option agreements since modern exploration commenced in 1968. The majority of work has focused on resource definition drilling and assessment of the Taysan Deposit. The project has a 25-year mine life with excellent exploration potential and a 3-year payback. Years 1-7 have very low production costs and a very low strip ratio, 0.56/1, versus an industry average of 2.5/1. The Project includes high grade copper concentrate with gold, silver, magnetite and other by-products.
In the following years, this project would surely change the landscape once again of Tagaytay and Batangas.
